Soil is the seventh track on System of a Down's self-titled album. The lyrics were written by Serj Tankian, and the music by Daron Malakian. "Soil" was also the name of Daron and Serj's pre-SOAD band.
The song details the suicide of a long-time friend of Serj Tankian's and his feelings toward it.
