John Dolmayan (Armenian: Ջոն Դոլմայան) is the drummer for System of a Down and Scars on Broadway. Throughout John's career with SOAD since their commercial success, John has been sponsored by Tama Drums, Vic Firth drumsticks, and Paiste cymbals. In 2006, he was recognized as 'alternative rock drummer of the year' by Drum! Magazine, as well as overall 'drummer of the year' at the same time. (Johndan)
John is also the founder of the comic book distribution company, Torpedo Comics, a project long anticipated by John and inspired by his lifelong love for comics.
Personal Life[]
Dolmayan dated model Tiffany Taylor sometime in the 2000s. After their breakup, he dated Diana Madatyan (the sister of Angela Madatyan, who is married to System front man Serj Tankian). The two then married. and together they have two daughters.
